Welcome

Welcome, please click below for the video welcome message.

Greetings Lusaka Community Church,

It feels like a long time since Danielle and I have been away on our leave. We have been thankful for the rest and that we are staying healthy through our time of isolation and now have enjoyed our time with family and close friends.  It seems like there are a lot of changes happening all around us and yet some aspects of life just continue on.

We are thankful for our firm foundation in the Lord and His great plan for each one of us, and that ultimately the years we experience on Earth are only the beginning of the eternal life in the Kingdom of Heaven with our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

We pray that you each of you are staying safe, experience peace and hope, and stepping forward in the Kingdom journey.

It was announced at the in-person service last Sunday that we are moving forward with a new Pastor and his family. And we were so excited to be able to announce the new pastor that we jumped ahead without a formal written announcement.  Our apologies, and so please receive this update with grace and joy as I share with you that we are excited to introduce you to Chad Morreau who has agreed to join LCC in this next chapter of the Church life.

Chad Morreau is married to Callie and they have two younger children. Chad has his Master’s of Divinity and has been a full time pastor for the last twelve years.

Prior to Chad and Callie being married both spent time in ministry internationally. Chad in Ethiopia for two years and Callie in Turkey.  From all the conversations we have had with them, they have a heart for people experiencing the Love of Christ and seek to further the kingdom in whatever context the Lord leads them.

The Pastoral Call Committee and Elders were excited about Chad’s thoughtfulness and desire to listen and walk with people as they seek guidance in God’s Word and the Holy Spirit.  Chad and Callie are both passionate about seeing people grow into the people God has created them to be, and seeing the Kingdom expand.

Chad has visited Zambia with his current church as they have partnered with his sister, Whitney’s ministry, Impact One, and during some of those trips he has even attended LCC.  So he is familiar with LCC and we are excited for each of you to get to know them.

We know you have many questions for us Elders and probably for Chad, and so we ask for now that you would WhatsApp or Email us your questions so we can discuss as an Eldership and respond to the church as a whole.  Please be in prayer for Chad, Callie and their family as they are starting the process of selling their home and transition life to Zambia.  Their current anticipated arrival date is in January, but there is a lot that needs to take place before then, and so we ask for you to be praying for them and the church to run into this new chapter.  We hope to share with you more information in the coming weeks.  We anticipate that we will be able to share with you a video of them introducing their family to you, along with Chad being able to preach virtually on an upcoming service.  But please, share with us your questions and we will plan to compile these and be able to share with the whole church proper responses.

Thank you all for your support and prayers through this time, and we are excited about what the Lord is doing.  Praise God for His faithfulness.  Let us join in prayer now for LCC, Zambia, and the Morreaus.

PRAY.

Prayer

Oh give thanks to the Lord, call upon His name;
Make known His deeds among the peoples.
Sing to Him, sing praises to Him;
Speak of all His wonders.
Glory in His holy name;
Let the heart of those who seek the Lord be glad.
Seek the Lord and His strength;
Seek His face continually.
Remember His wonders which He has done,
His marvels and the judgments uttered by His mouth,
O seed of Abraham, His servant,
O sons of Jacob, His chosen ones!
He is the Lord our God;
His judgments are in all the earth.

- Psalm 105:1-7 (NASB)

Giving

We are excited to formally announce the acceptance of a new pastor for LCC that will be arriving in Zambia at the beginning of the new year. As we pray into their transition, we are asking the church to start investing into this new chapter of the church even now as we anticipate their arrival. We, Elders, are utilizing a simple pledge form, that will only be viewed by the Eldership and does not require you to include your name. If you are able to commit to regular giving, please click on the following link and complete the form: Pledge Form

If you feel led to give to the church, you are encouraged to use online transfer facilities (wire, mobile, & bank). Though we currently do not offer direct debit or credit card donations, some have found TransferWise to be a helpful platform for transferring money locally or internationally (minimal transaction fees).

If you are unable to use contactless methods, you can still drop-off your offering at the church office during regular working hours. You can confirm any details with the church administrator by calling, texting, or WhatsApp: +260966800100
