Welcome

Good Morning Everyone and welcome to our online Sunday service. This is the day that the Lord has made let us rejoice and be glad in it!

Let us pray now and commit the service to our Lord.

Today, I would like to make a few comments on the benefits of gathering together. Since COVID19, we were not able to meet together as LCC but were doing online church. I think that some of us have got out of the habit of going to church and I would like to encourage you with some verses about the importance of meeting together.

When we gather together in a church service, we do so in the name of Lord Jesus Christ. We see in Mathew 18:20 “For where two or three gather together as my followers, I am there among them”- He promises that His presence and power are with us. If there ever was a need and a desire to flourish, it is during these difficult times. God’s Word tells us exactly what we need to do to flourish – one way is to attend church! Psalm 92:13-14 –“The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; planted in the house of the Lord, they will flourish in the courts of our God.” So as the body of Christ, let us follow the instruction of Hebrews 10:24-25 “And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds: not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”

I have heard it said, take a burning coal out of a fire, it will soon grow cold. But when the coals are together, they burn brightly giving off heat. This illustrates how meeting together helps not only us individually to keep the faith, but also our brothers and sisters in Christ. If you can attend church, come and invite a friend along.

Prayer

Answer me when I call, O God of my righteousness!
You have relieved me in my distress;
Be gracious to me and hear my prayer.

O sons of men, how long will my honor become a reproach?
How long will you love what is worthless and aim at deception? Selah.
But know that the Lord has set apart the godly man for Himself;
The Lord hears when I call to Him.

Tremble, and do not sin;
Meditate in your heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah.
Offer the sacrifices of righteousness,
And trust in the Lord.

Many are saying, “Who will show us any good?”
Lift up the light of Your countenance upon us, O Lord!
You have put gladness in my heart,
More than when their grain and new wine abound.
In peace I will both lie down and sleep,
For You alone, O Lord, make me to dwell in safety.

- Psalm 4 (NASB)

Giving

As mentioned last week, we are seeking to call a full-time pastor to LCC. With this comes additional financial commitments. We are asking all regular members to join with us in sharing a commitment of giving to the church. We, Elders, are utilizing a simple pledge form, that will only be viewed by the Eldership and does not require you to include your name. If you are able to commit to regular giving, please click on the following link and complete the form: Pledge Form

If you feel led to give to the church, you are encouraged to use online transfer facilities (wire, mobile, & bank). Though we currently do not offer direct debit or credit card donations, some have found TransferWise to be a helpful platform for transferring money locally or internationally (minimal transaction fees).

If you are unable to use contactless methods, you can still drop-off your offering at the church office during regular working hours. You can confirm any details with the church administrator by calling, texting, or WhatsApp: +260966800100
