Brothers and sisters, Good morning.
Normally on Sundays we gather to pray together to the Lord. Most of the time we begin our service with “praise and worship”. This section of our service, “praise and worship” is usually dedicated to singing songs to our God for about 20 minutes.
My dear brothers and sisters, to worship our God means more than singing songs for 20 minutes. Worship is a lifestyle. A life that gives honour with love and submission to our Him. It is an attitude of our hearts. It’s how we interact with God, how we view His character and how we respond to His compassion.
Psalm 15. A Psalm of David.
1 O Lord, who shall sojourn in your tent?
Who shall dwell on your holy hill?
2 He who walks blamelessly and does what is right
and speaks truth in his heart;
3 who does not slander with his tongue
and does no evil to his neighbor,
nor takes up a reproach against his friend;
4 in whose eyes a vile person is despised,
but who honors those who fear the Lord;
who swears to his own hurt and does not change;
5 who does not put out his money at interest
and does not take a bribe against the innocent.
He who does these things shall never be moved.
- Psalm 15:1-5 (ESV)
We can worship God daily and strengthen our relationship with Him and with one another:
By developing the habit of turning our worries into prayer. Instead of rehashing our circumstances over and over again, we can turn each worry into a prayer. Any time we are tempted by anxiety, we can choose to trust God by involving Him in our situation. When do this, we are putting our faith in God’s goodness. Our God is able and trustworthy. He will not fail us.
We can worship God daily and strengthen our relationship with Him and with one another:
By filling our mind with the love of Christ, through daily devotion and listening to God’s word.
We can worship God daily and strengthen our relationship with Him and one another:
By fixing our minds on doing what the Lord requires of us – even as the prophet Micah has written:
He has told you, O man, what is good.
and what does the Lord require of you?
To do justice, and to love kindness,
and to walk humbly with your God?
- Micah 6:8 (ESV)

Prayer
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
be acceptable in your sight,
O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.
- Psalm 19:14 (ESV)
Pray for the global church to respond to the hurting and broken.
Pray that love would permeate our lives, and for wisdom of how to ‘love our neighbors’.
Pray that we may be so in awe of God that the fears and anxiety of this world melt away. Pray that the Holy Spirit helps us to lay down our burdens at the foot of the Cross.
Pray for the ongoing work of the Gospel in Chipata.
Pray for our Governments around the world to be able to make wise decisions that help those most in need.
Pray for the Pastoral Call Committee as they continue the interview process.
Have you not known? Have you not heard?
The LORD is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He does not faint or grow weary;
his understanding is unsearchable.
He gives power to the faint,
and to him who has no might he increases strength.
Even youths shall faint and be weary,
and young men shall fall exhausted;
but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings like eagles;
they shall run and not be weary;
they shall walk and not faint.- Isaiah 40:28-31 (ESV)
Please share your praises and prayer needs with any of the Elders via WhatsApp or email the church email or via the Prayer Form so that we can all continue being in prayer for one another.

Benediction
Oh sing to the Lord a new song;
sing to the Lord, all the earth!
Sing to the Lord, bless his name;
tell of his salvation from day to day.
Declare his glory among the nations,
his marvelous works among all the peoples!
For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised;
he is to be feared above all gods.
For all the gods of the peoples are worthless idols,
but the Lord made the heavens.
Splendor and majesty are before him;
strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.
Ascribe to the Lord, O families of the peoples,
ascribe to the Lord glory and strength!
Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name;
bring an offering, and come into his courts!
Worship the Lord in the splendor of holiness;
tremble before him, all the earth!
Say among the nations, “The Lord reigns!
Yes, the world is established; it shall never be moved;
he will judge the peoples with equity.”
Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice;
let the sea roar, and all that fills it;
let the field exult, and everything in it!
Then shall all the trees of the forest sing for joy
before the Lord, for he comes,
for he comes to judge the earth.
He will judge the world in righteousness,
and the peoples in his faithfulness.
- Psalm 96 (ESV)
Amen.
