Greetings folk! Welcome to Lusaka Community Church service today.
Wherever you might be, we look forward to having fellowship with you.
We are starting a new series today focusing on the work of the Holy Spirit, starting in the Book of John.
John 15:26-16:15 (NASB)

26 “When the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, namely, the Spirit of truth who comes from the Father, He will testify about Me, 27 and you are testifying as well, because you have been with Me from the beginning.
16 “These things I have spoken to you so that you will not be led into sin. They will ban you from the synagogue, yet an hour is coming for everyone who kills you to think that he is offering a service to God. These things they will do because they have not known the Father nor Me. But these things I have spoken to you, so that when their hour comes, you may remember that I told you of them. However, I did not say these things to you at the beginning, because I was with you.

“But now I am going to Him who sent Me; and none of you asks Me, ‘Where are You going?’ But because I have said these things to you, grief has filled your heart. But I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I am leaving; for if I do not leave, the Helper will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you. And He, when He comes, will convict the world regarding sin, and righteousness, and judgment: regarding sin, because they do not believe in Me; 10 and regarding righteousness, because I am going to the Father and you no longer are going to see Me; 11 and regarding judgment, because the ruler of this world has been judged.

12 “I have many more things to say to you, but you cannot bear them at the present time. 13 But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come. 14 He will glorify Me, for He will take from Mine and will disclose it to you. 15 All things that the Father has are Mine; this is why I said that He takes from Mine and will disclose it to you.

Let us worship together.

Prayer

41 Let your steadfast love come to me, O Lord,
your salvation according to your promise;
42 then shall I have an answer for him who taunts me,
for I trust in your word.
43 And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth,
for my hope is in your rules.
44 I will keep your law continually,
forever and ever,
45 and I shall walk in a wide place,
for I have sought your precepts.
46 I will also speak of your testimonies before kings
and shall not be put to shame,
47 for I find my delight in your commandments,
which I love.
48 I will lift up my hands toward your commandments, which I love,
and I will meditate on your statutes.
- Psalm 119:41-48 (ESV)

  1. Praise the Lord for His steadfast love.

  2. Pray for those who are ill and give thanks for those who are healed of sickness.

  3. Please keep the Cumming family in your prayers. They are really grateful to the Lord for His closeness and peace, during this trying time of not being able to get to Australia as planned. They would appreciate prayers for patience and strength, and for safe and timely travel home. Their tickets are now booked for the 5th May.

  4. Pray for Daniella during this difficult season of life.

  5. Pray for those doing the Lord’s work in Chipata. Ask the Holy Spirit for specific prayer need over Chipata.

  6. Pray for all healthcare providers and their families for strength and encouragement. And pray for all who minister in Hospitals and clinics in evangelical ways for the Church to pray more and care more.

  7. Pray for the prison ministry work.

Please share your praises and prayer needs with any of the Elders via WhatsApp or email the church email or via the Prayer Form so that we can all continue being in prayer for one another.
