LCC Online Service - 11 October 2020
Welcome
Welcome, please click below for the video welcome message.
Good morning everyone.
Welcome to our LCC Online Service this morning 11 October.
Let us Pray
Father, You are the Mighty One, and we praise You!
We are so grateful that You have called us into Your Family and that You have made a way for us.
Father we commit ourselves to hear Your Word that You have prepared for us for today.
We pray as the Psalmist did in Ps 150 vs 1 + 2 as he worshipped You saying,
Praise the Lord!
Praise God in His sanctuary,
Praise Him in His might firmament,
Praise Him for His might acts,
Praise Him according to His excellent greatness.
Amen
We in LCC are still rejoicing at the news that we have a new Pastor and his family coming to join us – we expect around late January or February, but as yet have no further details.
Please continue to pray for the success of this commitment and for your own responsibilities in making this succeed.
We thank those who have prepared this Service – the tech duties, the preaching and the songs that help us draw close to God as we worship Him.
So now, let us praise Him again as we enter into worship in song,
Amen.

Communion
Please join us in a time of taking Communion. Remember to have your emblems on hand if you are going to take together with us.
Jesus teaches that we come together and take communion to remember the sacrifice of His Body for our sins.
The penalty for sin is death…or
Separation from God……or
An eternity in hell.
BUT
Jesus paid the price for us!
1 John 5 11 – 12 shows us that God gave us eternal life when we accepted Jesus- when we were born again.
The Word says we must believe that Jesus is the Son of God. That He paid the price to ransom us and if we confess that we are sinners and repent and follow Him, then we will have an eternity with Him in Heaven (and have fellowship with Him now in this life).
This is a solemn celebration BUT we have reason to rejoice- we have been SET FREE.
In 1 Cor 11 23- 29 Jesus took the bread and wine and used them as symbols of His body broken for us and His blood shed for us that we may believe and be born again.
Before we partake of the emblems, we must ask for forgiveness of any known sins, to not eat and drink against ourselves.
Let us Pray.
Now let us pray over the emblems as we remember what Jesus did for us
We partake of the Body of Jesus
We partake of the Blood of Jesus
Amen! We rejoice

Prayer
105 Your word is a lamp to my feet
And a light to my path.
106 I have sworn and I will confirm it,
That I will keep Your righteous ordinances.
107 I am exceedingly afflicted;
Revive me, O Lord, according to Your word.
108 O accept the freewill offerings of my mouth, O Lord,
And teach me Your ordinances.
109 My life is continually in my hand,
Yet I do not forget Your law.
110 The wicked have laid a snare for me,
Yet I have not gone astray from Your precepts.
111 I have inherited Your testimonies forever,
For they are the joy of my heart.
112 I have inclined my heart to perform Your statutes
Forever, even to the end.- Psalm 119:105-112 (NASB)

Giving
With the recent announcement of Chad as LCC’s new full-time pastor, we are excited to be looking towards the new year. We invite you to give even now into the work that the Lord is doing in and through LCC. As we, as a church, transition into a new chapter, we are inviting each of you to join in prayers and tithes for the work of the Kingdom. We, Elders, are utilizing a simple pledge form, that will only be viewed by the Eldership and does not require you to include your name. If you are able to commit to regular giving, please click on the following link and complete the form: Pledge Form
If you feel led to give to the church, you are encouraged to use online transfer facilities (wire, mobile, & bank). Though we currently do not offer direct debit or credit card donations, some have found TransferWise to be a helpful platform for transferring money locally or internationally (minimal transaction fees).
If you are unable to use contactless methods, you can still drop-off your offering at the church office during regular working hours. You can confirm any details with the church administrator by calling, texting, or WhatsApp: +260966800100
The church bank account details are below if you would like to use online transfer facilities:

Benediction
What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things? Who will bring a charge against God’s elect? God is the one who justifies; who is the one who condemns? Christ Jesus is He who died, yes, rather who was raised, who is at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us. Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Just as it is written,
“For Your sake we are being put to death all day long;
We were considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
- Romans 8:31-39 (NASB)
