Welcome
Welcome, please click below for the video welcome message. (If your internet is giving you issues, the written version is below as well).
Greeting Lusaka Community Church,
We are thankful that you are joining with us today. As each Sunday passes, I am reminded of the many writings of Paul, where he continually reminded the churches congregants that he longs to see them. To the Philippians he wrote in Philippians 1:8, “how I long for you all with the affection of Christ Jesus”. To the Thessalonians in 1 Thessalonians chapter 2 he wrote, “we endeavored the more eagerly and with great desire to see you face to face, because we wanted to come to you”. To Timothy he wrote in 2nd Timothy chapter 1, “I constantly remember you in my prayers night and day, longing to see you, even as I recall your tears, so that I may be filled with joy”.
Though our circumstances are different than Paul’s at the time, I think that many of us feel a similar longing as Paul did, to join together face to face. We long for being able to merge our voices together in beautiful hymns to God. We long to share and listen to amazing stories of God’s goodness in our lives. We long to hold one another as we share the struggles and the burdens that are heavy on our hearts.
Last week, we finished the series on the life transforming filling of the Holy Spirit. Today we are starting a new series looking at the Acts of the Apostles – Faith in the Early Church, which will be building off the incredible coming of the Holy Spirit, as we connect the faith Jesus was calling us into with the faith of the early church in the book of Acts.
May each of us have faith in God during this time to release the burdens that may be weighing us down, so that we can find rest this Sabbath in the knowledge that God has great things in store for each one of us. May we have faith that He continues to bring forth His Kingdom, Covid-19 or not. Viruses, politics, and human efforts do not change God’s great call on each of our lives to proclaim the Kingdom of Heaven and make disciples. Nothing changes His kingship or His worthiness to be praised.
Please join with us as we worship our God in song, word, and prayer.

Marvel and glorify the Lord for the works of His hands.
1 I love the Lord, because He hears
My voice and my supplications.
2 Because He has inclined His ear to me,
Therefore I shall call upon Him as long as I live.
3 The cords of death encompassed me
And the terrors of Sheol came upon me;
I found distress and sorrow.
4 Then I called upon the name of the Lord:
“O Lord, I beseech You, save my life!”5 Gracious is the Lord, and righteous;
Yes, our God is compassionate.
6 The Lord preserves the simple;
I was brought low, and He saved me.
7 Return to your rest, O my soul,
For the Lord has dealt bountifully with you.
8 For You have rescued my soul from death,
My eyes from tears,
My feet from stumbling.
9 I shall walk before the Lord
In the land of the living.
10 I believed when I said,
“I am greatly afflicted.”
11 I said in my alarm,
“All men are liars.”12 What shall I render to the Lord
For all His benefits toward me?
13 I shall lift up the cup of salvation
And call upon the name of the Lord.
14 I shall pay my vows to the Lord,
Oh may it be in the presence of all His people.
15 Precious in the sight of the Lord
Is the death of His godly ones.
16 O Lord, surely I am Your servant,
I am Your servant, the son of Your handmaid,
You have loosed my bonds.
17 To You I shall offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving,
And call upon the name of the Lord.
18 I shall pay my vows to the Lord,
Oh may it be in the presence of all His people,
19 In the courts of the Lord’s house,
In the midst of you, O Jerusalem.
Praise the Lord!- Psalm 116 (NASB)
Please share your praises and prayer needs with any of the Elders via WhatsApp or email the church email or via the Prayer Form so that we can all continue being in prayer for one another.
Giving
As we have mentioned in the past, though we are not meeting face to face, we are still accruing administration expenses and continue to support partner ministries. We ask that you also pour into the next season of LCC when God brings the next pastor. We were so blessed even during the short time God allowed us to partner with Nick and Mel and know that God continues to have great things in store for LCC. Theoretically, if only ten of us gave a tithe (‘tenth’) to the church, the future pastors expenses would be covered. We ask that you continue to partner with us in prayer and finances as we take steps of faith for the next season at LCC.
If you feel led to give to the church, you are encouraged to use online transfer facilities (wire, mobile, TransferWise, etc). If you are unable to use contactless methods, you can still drop-off your offering at the church office during regular working hours. You can confirm any details with the church administrator by calling, texting, or WhatsApp: +260966800100

Thank you
We continue to rejoice in the Lord always. We are so thankful that you were able to join with us in praising our Lord and King.
Benediction
Grace to you and peace from Him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven spirits who are before His throne, and from Jesus Christ the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of kings on earth.
To Him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood and made us a kingdom, priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever.
Amen.Revelation 1:4b-6 (ESV)
