Notices

1. A sad notice is that Felicity Howard who attended this Church before she became ill went to be with The Lord on Wednesday night. Felicity was a happy and joyous person on earth and now we can’t even begin to understand the heights of joy and freedom  she is sharing with Jesus.

2. Progress continues on course with Chad and Callie to come to LCC to be Pastor here.

Welcome

Welcome to everyone on the Online Sunday Service today.

Bible Reading

Romans 6: 4-8:

 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
For he that is dead is freed from sin.
Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:

 We certainly live in challenging times around the world including here in Zambia. But it is so exciting to see scripture unfolding. We need to be ready at all times. We are so thankful for what Jesus did for us to be saved and have an assurance of an eternity with Him in Heaven. We were united together with Him in His death and we certainly shall be in the likeness of His resurrection.  We will be with Him in Heaven when we leave this earth. However, here on earth we must go about His business of winning souls, making disciples and making the TRUTH know in full expectation of Jesus soon return for His people.

Exciting!

Father, we welcome You into our midst and thank you that You are our God and that You delight in Your people coming together to praise You and to hear Your Word fresh for us today. Speak to us Lord, change us and make us more like Jesus.

Amen

Lets move on to praising Him in song.

Prayer

I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart;
    I will recount all of your wonderful deeds.
I will be glad and exult in you;
    I will sing praise to your name, O Most High.

When my enemies turn back,
    they stumble and perish before your presence.
For you have maintained my just cause;
    you have sat on the throne, giving righteous judgment.

You have rebuked the nations; you have made the wicked perish;
    you have blotted out their name forever and ever.
The enemy came to an end in everlasting ruins;
    their cities you rooted out;
    the very memory of them has perished.

But the Lord sits enthroned forever;
    he has established his throne for justice,
and he judges the world with righteousness;
    he judges the peoples with uprightness.

The Lord is a stronghold for the oppressed,
    a stronghold in times of trouble.
10 And those who know your name put their trust in you,
    for you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you.

11 Sing praises to the Lord, who sits enthroned in Zion!
    Tell among the peoples his deeds!
12 For he who avenges blood is mindful of them;
    he does not forget the cry of the afflicted.

13 Be gracious to me, O Lord!
    See my affliction from those who hate me,
    O you who lift me up from the gates of death,
14 that I may recount all your praises,
    that in the gates of the daughter of Zion
    I may rejoice in your salvation.

15 The nations have sunk in the pit that they made;
    in the net that they hid, their own foot has been caught.
16 The Lord has made himself known; he has executed judgment;
    the wicked are snared in the work of their own hands. Higgaion. Selah

17 The wicked shall return to Sheol,
    all the nations that forget God.

18 For the needy shall not always be forgotten,
    and the hope of the poor shall not perish forever.

19 Arise, O Lord! Let not man prevail;
    let the nations be judged before you!
20 Put them in fear, O Lord!
    Let the nations know that they are but men! Selah
