Good morning everybody,
Welcome to our LCC Sunday online church service. This is the day that Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in Him. Aren’t you glad that we serve an awesome God? Praise the Lord.
I believe that I have a word for you today, in an ever-changing time, when we are all anticipating a new norm and unknown future. I want to remind you that God’s Word has not changed. It is as true as it was the day it was written. Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever. We can have a stability in Him and in His Word, even during turbulent times. The scripture that I want to encourage you with today comes from the book of Zechariah. Zechariah was a minor prophet of the Old Testament. God used him and the prophet Haggai to speak to Zerubbabel, the governor of Judah, and Yeshua, the high priest. The message was for the exiles who had returned to Jerusalem to rebuild the temple, which had been destroyed by the Babylonians. This is what the angel of the Lord said to the prophet Zechariah in the vision. I am reading from Zechariah 4:6,7:
Then he said to me, “This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the LORD of hosts. What are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you will become a plain…
The temple was going to be built by the power of the Spirit of God, not by human effort. This did not mean that God supernaturally built the temple, but that he supernaturally empowered the people to build it. They still had to dig the foundations, build the walls, but their strength and ability and talents were Spirit empowered. Just like Zerubbabel, we need to be living by the Spirit. So that we are not trying to live this life by our own strength. That is not what we are called to do. We must trust in God, who is our one constant. We are sure of having enough strength for each day. When our faith is in God and not in ourselves, or our own abilities, we can move mountains. We must live a life that is Spirit led, by faith. This is what Jesus is looking for when He comes back to Earth. Today as we continue in our worship and hear the preaching of the Word of God. I pray that each person would hear what the Holy Spirit is saying to them.
May our Lord richly bless you and keep you. Amen.

Prayer
I will extol You, my God, O King,
And I will bless Your name forever and ever.
Every day I will bless You,
And I will praise Your name forever and ever.
Great is the Lord, and highly to be praised,
And His greatness is unsearchable.
One generation shall praise Your works to another,
And shall declare Your mighty acts.
On the glorious splendor of Your majesty
And on Your wonderful works, I will meditate.
Men shall speak of the power of Your awesome acts,
And I will tell of Your greatness.
They shall eagerly utter the memory of Your abundant goodness
And will shout joyfully of Your righteousness.The Lord is gracious and merciful;
Slow to anger and great in lovingkindness.
The Lord is good to all,
And His mercies are over all His works.
All Your works shall give thanks to You, O Lord,
And Your godly ones shall bless You.
They shall speak of the glory of Your kingdom
And talk of Your power;
To make known to the sons of men Your mighty acts
And the glory of the majesty of Your kingdom.
Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom,
And Your dominion endures throughout all generations.- Psalm 145:1-13 (NASB)

_____________________
The Lord sustains all who fall
And raises up all who are bowed down.
The eyes of all look to You,
And You give them their food in due time.
You open Your hand
And satisfy the desire of every living thing.The Lord is righteous in all His ways
And kind in all His deeds.
The Lord is near to all who call upon Him,
To all who call upon Him in truth.
He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him;
He will also hear their cry and will save them.
The Lord keeps all who love Him,
But all the wicked He will destroy.
My mouth will speak the praise of the Lord,
And all flesh will bless His holy name forever and ever.- Psalm 145:14-21 (NASB)
