Greetings LCC,
We are so thankful that you are able to join with us today. Many of us are looking towards the end of this year. This year which has been difficult for many of us. As we begin the time of Advent, may we continue to set our eyes on Jesus and surrender the close of the year to Him and offer the coming year to Him.
Today may we read Psalm 16 together:
1 Keep me safe, my God,
for in you I take refuge.2 I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord;
apart from you I have no good thing.”
3 I say of the holy people who are in the land,
“They are the noble ones in whom is all my delight.”
4 Those who run after other gods will suffer more and more.
I will not pour out libations of blood to such gods
or take up their names on my lips.5 Lord, you alone are my portion and my cup;
you make my lot secure.
6 The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places;
surely I have a delightful inheritance.
7 I will praise the Lord, who counsels me;
even at night my heart instructs me.
8 I keep my eyes always on the Lord.
With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.9 Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices;
my body also will rest secure,
10 because you will not abandon me to the realm of the dead,
nor will you let your faithful one see decay.
11 You make known to me the path of life;
you will fill me with joy in your presence,
with eternal pleasures at your right hand.- Psalm 16
Verse 8 – “I will keep my eyes always on the LORD, with Him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.
May this be our prayer today as we continue in our service…
Let us Pray.

Prayer
For the wide sky and the blessed sun,
For the salt sea and the running water,
For the everlasting hills
And the never-resting winds,
For trees and the common grass underfoot.
We thank you for our senses
By which we hear the songs of birds,
And see the splendor of the summer fields,
And taste of the autumn fruits,
And rejoice in the feel of the snow,
And smell the breath of the spring.
Grant us a heart wide open to all this beauty;
And save our souls from being so blind
That we pass unseeing
When even the common thornbush
Is aflame with your glory,
O God our creator,
Who lives and reigns for ever and ever.- Walter Rauschenbusch, 1861–1918, “Prayer of Thanksgiving”
